Elite Koi is an experienced, family-run Koi dealer based in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire.
We specialise in Quality Japanese Koi to suit all budgets and pride ourselves on our friendly approach and excellent customer service.
We are husband and wife team, Chris and Tracey. We have been keen enthusiasts for over 25 years and in this time we have assisted many Koi keepers in achieving enjoyment, relaxation, pleasure and pride from owning their fish, as we have done over the years from our own Koi.

When We Started
Chris has always wanted to work for himself and has always had a strong ambition to own his own successful company. The concept of Elite Koi began in the spring of 2015 and initially only included dry goods. Elite Koi Ltd was incorporated in August 2016 and began trading.
Since then, we have grown so much and now have a successful shop in Grimsby, hosting events throughout the year and supplying the whole UK. We have quickly become your one-stop shop for all things koi.

Why We Got Started
The big passion for Koi was started around 2010 Chris had wanted to enter the show scene of showing Koi. unfortunately life changes changed what he had to do with them.
In 2010 Chris started purchasing some high-quality koi. Having been around Fish and Koi all of his adult life, he felt he understood the needs of the Koi and also more importantly how to keep them healthy and in a good condition.
To get started with showing koi, he decided to take up photographing koi and entering into shows in this way. This process allowed for continued learning about the Koi and development continued throughout the seasons for quite a few years.
We were learning so much from these fascinating creatures and the discovering lots of new things about them. The learning never stops.
Turning a Hobby into a Career
Unfortunately and devastatingly, Tracey was diagnosed with a Mass on the brain on November 5th 2014, and subsequent lung cancer was found soon after.
This was the life changing event when we decided that we need to do something together. Chris was working as a safety officer & crane driver which had him out of the house most days.
He felt he needed to change the way that he was working from shift work to a more daytime work so that he could look after Tracey and we could spend a lot more time together. Especially with the prognosis as it was back then.
Elite Koi has not only enabled us to spend all of our time together (and with the dogs) it has also helped us to have a focus on something positive. Tracey has defied the odds and responded so well to all of the treatment which has stabilised the disease.
Although incurable, she still continues to amaze the consultants with her positive attitude and response to ongoing treatment.
Supporting Your Dreams
When we decided to become a Koi dealer, this, unfortunately, resulted in us not being able to enter the UK koi show scene anymore. The reason for this is that we have access to hundreds of high-quality Koi including some of the best Koi in the UK and it would be an unfair advantage on hobbyist.
We still have some of the original Koi that Chris purchased for showing and these Koi take pride and place in our collection in our own pond. I think they have done quite well on the scene, and now we just love helping all of you to reach your goals and show healthy, beautiful koi.

Elite Koi was established in 2016 and operates under Animal Establishment Licence AW0029.
We fully support and comply with TGE Animal Welfare Regulations 2018 and have been awarded a top 5 Star rating. To ensure the safety of our Koi we maintain a Quarantine procedure which is strictly followed for all incoming fish.
We aim to be one of the leading Koi retailers in the UK and pride ourselves on our exceptional levels of customer service.
We aim to package and dispatch all orders within one working day on receipt of payment. Orders received before 1pm will be packaged and dispatched the same working day on receipt of payment.
