Sakai FF GoSanke Grow Out - Meet the 51

All 51 of the Sakai FF (Fish Farm) secured for Elite Koi's second Grow Out event of 2023 have now been harvested, recorded, photographed and given their own Elite Koi Identification Certificate.

Sakai FisH Farm (SFF) has brought forth some of the greatest Koi that have ever swam this planet. It is one of the most famous and biggest Koi farms in Japan. It's history goes back as far as 1890 when Ichiroji Sakai started breeding Magoi for animal protein.

Now, three generations later, Kentaro Sakai has brought the art of breeding to the highest standards. They are mainly famous for their Kohaku and Sanke, but in more recent days they have started breeding Showa again as well and also popular are their Red Karashigoi. The quality of their best Koi is so high that ever since they won the All Japan Koi Show for the first time in 2000 they have managed to obtain this great honour 11 times! They are also famous for their auctions where sometimes record prices are being bid up to 2 million dollars for a two year old fish for example.

All 51 Koi will be made available for general sale at 10am Saturday 28th January 2023

Once approx 50% of the Koi are sold the remainder will be removed from sale and not become available to purchase again until after the Grow Out has ended at Easter 2023.
