About Will – The Man Behind the Wire


Hi, I’m Will – a proud ex-member of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces, having served 12 years with the Irish Guards. After undergoing a life-changing bone marrow transplant, I found myself searching for something meaningful to fill my time. That’s when I stumbled across YouTube videos on making wire bonsai trees… and the journey began.


My first trees? Let’s just say they’re priceless now – not for their perfection, but for what they represent: a fresh start, resilience, and growth.


Since then, I’ve honed my craft, learning new techniques and embracing every challenge. Each wire tree I create is a one-of-a-kind piece of art, sculpted with passion, patience, and pride.


One of my proudest moments? Seeing one of my trees placed next to the most famous koi pond in the world – Maruhiro Koi Farm.
